Nurses and pharmacists play a vital role in research, offering valuable insight and practical expertise that bring unique insights and help to drive progress and improve outcomes for patients. We are committed to increasing the opportunity for nurses and pharmacists to participate in undertaking research by providing support for at different stages of their research career. We welcome their applications to help us take forward the areas outlined in our research strategy.

Research proposals should directly address priorities in our Research Strategy to 2030.
- Prevent more people from developing kidney disease
- Protect those living with kidney disease from kidney failure
- Transform Treatments for people with kidney failure
Consideration should be given to tackling health inequalities, collaboration and cross-fertilisation of ideas, harnessing data, and patient participation, inclusion and engagement.
We are seeking research proposals across the research continuum, from discovery science (aetiology and underpinning) through to health and social care research services, and implementation science.
