Kidney Research UK first main grant round
We are looking for research applications that focus on any part of our research strategy. These can be from underpinning research and aetiology through to health service research, and implementation science. Alongside the main open round, to the same deadlines, we are also specifically calling for research proposals addressing rare, hereditary and paediatric kidney disease, including proposals addressing the challenges described in our Collectively Common report. Read the report.
We have increased the ceiling on our research project to £300,000 for a three-year period. All applications to this round are a single stage full application.
Does your proposal align to our research priorities?
Research proposals should directly address priorities in our Research Strategy to 2030.
- Prevent more people from developing kidney disease
- Protect those living with kidney disease from kidney failure
- Transform Treatments for people with kidney failure
Consideration should be given to tackling health inequalities, collaboration and cross-fertilisation of ideas, harnessing data, and patient participation, inclusion and engagement.
We are seeking research proposals across the research continuum, from discovery science (aetiology and underpinning) through to health and social care research services, and implementation science.
